Is your CIO function mature enough?

Is your CIO function mature enough?

The information and communications technology (ICT) strategies of most large enterprises are increasingly focusing on an enterprise-wide approach to commodity or utility ICT resources – such as data centers, networks, common applications, and office productivity environments. Drivers for this include operational efficiency and better support for process integration and collaboration across the enterprise.

Enterprise-wide ICT strategies include a range of consolidation, rationalization, and standardization initiatives and the creation of internal shared services arrangements – as well as outsourcing and, more recently, cloud computing.

Enterprise-wide ICT strategies require rethinking the style of the enterprise’s ICT organization and putting the spotlight on the readiness of its CIO functions to step up to enterprise-wide leadership.
